  We are saddened to report to you the death of an Abuja-based lady known as Bercy who died following a bite from a venomous snake. Bercy’s friend announced the very unfortunate incident on Instagram whilst advising people to be very cautious about their homes and environment. According to her, the deceased got bitten by the snake that was hiding in the WC after she sat on the toilet bowl at her home in Abuja. “Rememberering everything we spoke about yesterday morning makes me find it so hard to believe you’re no more haaaa….   Some of the Edo indigenes who were killed in a fatal bus accident yesterday on return from Spain - have been identified. It was reported that about eight persons, five males and three females, lost their lives in an accident on Tuesday morning when a Hummer bus conveying them rammed into a Mack truck. Two men Paul and Sunny were among the victims who died in the accident. The accident occurred around 8:30am at the Wictech stretch of the Lagos – Ibadan expressway about two km away from Danco filling station. The victims – all believed to be Edo State indigenes, who just flew into the country from Spain this morning, had chartered the bus marked BEN 313 YX on the fleet of Iyare Motors and were going to Benin City for an engagement, when the accident happened. The Public Relations Officer of TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed, said the driver of the speeding hummer bus ram into the rear of a truck marked MUS 730 XN in bids to overtake it.   A yet another man's inhumanity to his fellow man has been exhibited in the Ikotun area of Nigeria's commercial city of Lagos after a residents of the area discovered the corpse of a newborn inside a gutter.     Below is how an eyewitness narrated the sad incident on social media;   "This dead little innocent soul was just found inside the gutters of the densely populated ikotun market in Lagos.   "Traders around confirmed that a lady was seen fidgeting around the spot where the dead child was later found.   "Why others said, that the water may have pushed the baby there.   "Whatever the case, this is totally cruel and heartless."  

   A middle aged man, Chidiebere Christopher Nwoke has lost his life after a dangerous snake bit him during bush clearing in Umuahia, the Abia State capital. The late Mr Nwoke is a native of Umueke Ekerifeze Umuajata Olokoro in Umuahia south local government area of Abia state. ABN TV gathered that this development has put the people of the community in a state of mourning as the young man was said to be full of life and hard working. Our correspondent gathered that late Nwoke had gone to farm alongside his younger brother when the tragic incident happened. He said Nwoke unknowingly inflicted a machete cut on a dangerous viper snake known as “AJUALA”. In an effort to gather the cleared bush with his hands, the snake bit him on his left hand which resulted to the swelling of the hand. However, he was rushed to an anti poison native doctor who gave him some herbal drugs to stabilize him. He later passed on and has since been deposited in the mortuary.
